I enjoy seeing new to me toys for quilting. I was at a quilt show with my sister and we saw the Creative Grids Non-Slip Pineapple Trim Tool demonstrated. Since I haven’t made a pineapple quilt yet this was intriguing. There are two sizes of rulers. I opted to get the Mini. It will help me make 4″, 5″, or 6″ squares.
I opened the ruler to take a look at the instructions that are included. The instructions show how to use the ruler and what sizes to cut for each row. I am excited to give it a try. Have you used this ruler? If so do you have any tips and tricks?
One of my local quilt shops had batiks on sale. I decided to give my new ruler a try with some pretty baticks. Now I just need to decide what color background fabric to use. I saw a pretty creamy color at the shop, I also saw a black that I liked, or I could go with a white fabric. Which background fabric would you use?
